Happy November everyone! I hope you are enjoying the cooler weather like we are. I feel like it took forever to get here though. Now that it’s fall, it’s time to start getting organized in some other areas in my home. Holidays are just around the corner!!
The first area that I want to address in my personal space is my master closet. I feel like the styles have changed so much in the past year. I really needed to do a serious edit in my closet. I hired a stylist to come over and help me purge old styles and talk about new trends. I was able to get rid of those items that I don’t wear any longer for fall. It feels really good when you start fresh in a new season with some new signature pieces. I was super thankful for Sage!
The other area that I wanted to address in my home is my kitchen. I really had to take a hard look at my appliances to see what needed to be replaced. What I use and what I don’t use. The other area in my kitchen that I struggle with is my cookware. I recently decided to buy all new cookware. I wanted something nontoxic, safe from heavy metals. I noticed that a lot of the pans I was using started to stick badly, so I needed to edit and add some new cookware.
Here are some tips when evaluating cookware and appliances:
- Do I use any of these items? For example, I have a Cuisinart small chopper that I never use, so I decided to get rid of.
- Consider getting rid of any pans that are sticking, chipped, etc. & replace them. I did the same thing with one of my green pans. I put it on my list to replace it since it was sticking.
- Do any of your items have chips, or are stained and you can’t get the stains out? I decided to replace my crockpot as it is a staple piece in my kitchen, and I need something a little larger since I have been cooking so many crockpot meals. I’m going to donate my crockpot to a church because I know they would be grateful for another appliance.
- Do you have multiple appliances that can do the same things? For example, I have an Instant Pot & a rice cooker, so I am considering getting rid of my rice cooker because my Instant Pot does the same thing. This will help reduce physical clutter as well.
I hope these fall tips help! Let me know what tips you would like me to share before the holidays or the new year & share with me what areas you will be working on in your own home! I love to hear what everyone is up to.
