I truly can’t believe I am now sitting down and writing the final blog post of 2023! Wow, what a busy and productive and enjoyable and chaotic year it has been. It feels bizarre to already be saying this, but now is the time to start thinking about getting even more organized for 2024! To close out a wonderful year of organization topics I want to focus on looking ahead: let’s ring in the new year (and new organized you) by discussing the best planners on the market.
Classic Planner
You often can’t go wrong with a tried-and-true classic planner. They’re simple and easy to follow which has made them a success with many for decades. A classic handwritten planner is good for keeping track of day-to-day tasks and can be used in correlation with a wall calendar to include upcoming events, meetings, project deadlines, etc. We personally like this classic planner because it not only includes monthly, weekly, and daily layouts , but also comes in over fifteen patterns to choose from. This makes it a good option for any business professional.
Academic Planner
An academic planner is a great option for anyone managing a team. Not only can you list to-dos for you and your team, but these planners also provide the ability to track financial goals, project goals, etc. This academic planner is a great option because it has a folder to store paperwork or other lists you may need such as holiday card lists, etc. It also provides two page monthly and weekly spreads leaving an abundance of room for you to write out to-do lists for everyone on your team, including yourself.
Digital Options & Calendar Apps
Of course, you can always opt for a digital planner for 2024. Digital tablets and calendar apps are solid alternatives to a handwritten planner because they minimize the amount of paper used/needed. Many have a paper-like feature or system, so they are a perfect compromise between paper and digital tools. A digital planner pad may be an especially great option for those with ADHD. (This Forbes list breaks down the pros and cons of more than ten different types of planners and includes an awesome digital electronic planner that you can access from your phone!) With a digital planner tablet, you can still write out your to-do lists and have a visual, but you won’t need to worry about the extra stationery, pens, folders, stickers, etc. that are necessary with a paper planner. Applications such as the Work Flowy app are also fantastic tools that you can use for your benefit. These types of digital organization systems have many other features beyond a calendar and can help you keep both your professional and personal life organized.
No matter what planner option you end up going with, starting the new year with a new planner is a good idea.
