Organizing Services Designed Specifically for Adults With ADHD

Living with ADHD can make organizing feel frustrating and difficult to maintain. Systems that seem logical at first often break down, leading to clutter and overwhelm.

An ADHD professional organizer provides hands-on support to address executive function challenges, reduce clutter, and improve follow-through.

Organizing for ADHD is similar to traditional organizing, but with thoughtful adjustments based on how your brain processes information. We create systems that are simple, functional, and easier to maintain over time.

Our goal is to help you move from feeling overwhelmed to maintaining organization more consistently.

At Sorted Out®, we design customized systems that support how you think, so you can experience a calmer, more manageable home and daily routine.

How Is ADHD Organizing Different?

ADHD organizing adapts traditional organizing methods to better support executive function challenges. The focus is on simplifying decisions and reducing friction so systems are easier to maintain.

Traditional organizing works well for many clients. When ADHD is a factor, strategies are adjusted.

We often:

  • Use visible, easy-access systems to support memory

  • Reduce the number of steps required to stay organized

  • Create clear categories to prevent confusion

  • Break projects into shorter, focused sessions

  • Build accountability into the process

  • Prevent over-organizing so systems stay simple and usable

These adjustments make it easier to maintain results over time.

Common ADHD Challenges

Many adults with ADHD experience similar challenges:

  • Maintaining organization after a space is set up

  • Forgetting where items are placed

  • Buying duplicates due to lack of visibility

  • Feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to begin

  • Struggling with systems that did not last in the past

These patterns are common. With the right structure and support, progress is possible.

Do I Need a Formal ADHD Diagnosis?

No. A formal diagnosis is not required.

Some clients have been diagnosed, while others recognize challenges with focus, organization or follow-through.

If traditional organizing has not worked, ADHD-focused support may be a better fit.

What Clients Say About Us

My experience with Sorted Out® has been great! Working with Brooke has been awesome! She has a lot of experience helping people with ADHD like myself, organize my home and use strategies with realistic expectations to stay organized. I felt very comfortable around Brooke and felt like she really understood the personal challenges I have that contribute to disorganization and clutter. She has worked with me hours and hours sorting through, giving away stuff and organizing multiple rooms in my house including my master bedroom, bathroom and closet, guest room and other closets.

I feel like I can take a deep breath and relax and enjoy my home now instead of the cluttered and anxiety producing way my home used to be! Brooke has absolutely helped me transform the way I live!

Some things I would like to highlight to someone considering hiring Sorted Out®: 1) I never once felt shamed by Julie about the cleanliness (or lack thereof) of my space. I grew up in a hoarder home so my place still had artifacts of that upbringing. 2) It was not as expensive as I thought it was going to be. We paid for the 20 hr package upfront, and while it was certainly an investment, we could afford it as a dual income no kids household in our mid 20s. 3) Julie never asked us to buy anything else as a precursor to working in the space. She worked entirely in the confines of the organizational bins and baskets we already had. We did end up buying a few storage/organizational items, but not because she asked us to. 4) The sessions are exhausting in a good “hard day’s work” kind of way. I took off of work for the days that Julie came and that was helpful for protecting my own mental health. 5) My husband and I both have ADHD and everything we organized accommodated our needs. 6) She takes care of all of the donations /recycling so you don’t have to.

All in all, I have nothing but positive things to say about Julie and Sorted Out®. I never thought my space could be beautiful and functional at the same time, but Julie helped us get there. I am so so so grateful for her work.

I have to come here to rave about Ashley from Sorted Out®. I have been struggling to recover my space from burnout for YEARS. It was creating massive tension in my marriage and chaos in my household.

I was looking at reviews of all these places with the pasta moved out of one perfectly good container into a different, prettier container and was sure I would not be able to find a company that would prioritize making my home functional vs beautiful.

I reached out to three companies, but Sorted Out® touched base right away. Julie (possibly Julia) answered all my questions about organizing for ADHD and matched me up with Ashley.

You know when you encounter someone who just gets it? That’s Ashley. During our consult, I walked her through my house and was brutally honest about what I knew I simply would not keep up with (looking at you decanted pasta boxes). She took me at my word and didn’t try to convince me to make things more aesthetic. She asked questions about what has worked and what hasn’t. She worked to understand my struggles.

When we started my service, Ashley let me influence what we worked on and when. She checked in to see how I was holding up after a big purge or what room was making me the most aggravated at the time. And bit by bit, she helped me chip away.

My husband is THRILLED with the labelled and organized pantry bins, and I am so deeply relieved to have the DOOM boxes purged and Sorted Out®. I quite literally could not have done this without Ashley, which I know because I tried.

I cannot recommend Ashley and Sorted Out® highly enough. If you get the chance to work with her, give her a high five from Mariah!

I have ADHD. I have difficulty concentrating which makes it difficult to organize. I have been doing my best to organize all my life, I’m 65, but as the years went on the ability to organize became less and less.

So one day recently I had enough, I went online, I saw the company Sorted Out®, they told me that they work with people who have ADHD and I set up an appointment to meet an organizer.

They assigned Callie Micek to me. So, the first text she sent to me I could tell she was a warm, kind, understanding person. Each text from her was warmer than the last. It made me feel Really Good about meeting her and her organizing for me.

Well, she was supposed to come to my home when I contracted Covid. I was sick for 4 weeks. I had to keep, postponing my appointment with her and she was extremely understanding. So, finally, when I got better, we met.

I have tons of stuff. I collect toys. I have so much that it fills every closet in my house plus a storage unit. I make Jewelry. I make all kinds of Jewelry and my house is stuffed with it. I have tons of clothes too. She came to my home and looked around and convinced me with her warmth that she could help me, so I bought 20 hours, it’s expensive and well worth it. Callie came the first day and she was going to organize my closet. It was a wreck. There were clothes and shoes all over the floor. Callie attacked the closet. We went through every piece of clothing to either keep it or purge it. Than she put my whole closet in order. It looked Great! But she wasn’t done. She told me what organizing bins to buy plus purse separators. Well, when she was done. WOW!!!!!! It was unbelievably Gorgeous!! We discussed why it was such a mess. I have a bad leg and when I’m in pain I just throw things on a chair or on the floor. I don’t care. Well, she taught me, when the pain subsides, than hang your clothes up. Before you’re too tired at night, get undressed and hang up your clothes. If you’re too tired, than hang them up in the morning. Well, I listened to what she said and now I can proudly say my closet has been Perfectly Organized for 6 weeks. That’s NEVER happened to me before!! Each time she came to organize a different area of my home, she explained to me how to keep it organized. Even when I beat myself up, over having so much stuff she knows Exactly what to say to make me feel better.

She is The Absolute Best!! She works her butt off and never takes a break until the job is done. I walk into my closet now and I feel like a Million Dollars!!!!! I feel MAGICAL!!!! So, if you need organizing help, make sure you ask for Callie. You’ll be So Extremely Happy With Her that you’ll use her services over and over again.
