Happy New Year! It’s here, I said it – 2024! I still can’t believe what year it is. I feel like time keeps going faster and faster. This year is especially bittersweet because the twins will be graduating this year. 😂 I feel like it was yesterday I was getting ready for their first day of kindergarten. Phew! This year will be very important for me to keep and stay organized! Hang on for the wild ride.
Just like everyone else, it’s crucial to set goals and resolutions. This year, I’m going to focus my efforts on family organization. I like to get everybody involved in the process to make it a little less labor intensive.
My first organizational goal is to finish my family photos. I started working on this in 2023 and that project is still going. I feel a lot more in control of my electronic photos, that’s for sure.
My second organizational goal is to organize my attic. This is going to involve all of us! We all have something stored in the attic that needs to be dealt with. From old trophies, entertaining supplies, high school mums & keepsakes/memorabilia.
My third organizational project is going to be to shred all the old tax supporting documents prior to 2016. Use these tips here in culling through your paper files.
My fourth organizational project this year is going to be my son, Lucas’ closet. Every season I go through all his clothes and donate the smaller sizes, toys, sporting equipment, etc. that we no longer use.
Last, but not least, our family needs to get organized in the garage. Again, in this area there are a lot of different sporting equipment/paraphernalia that needs to be sorted through and purged. The garage can be a huge dumping ground for things that you don’t want or need. It’s time to take the garage back and do a good deep cleaning.
