Why Sorted Out is the Best Choice for Professional Organizing

We Focus On What Matters: Organizing

Incredibly Organized’s website appears to emphasize their knack for interior design and decorating, not organization. (At Sorted Out we do it all!) Our company offers Home, Business, Elevated Home, and Specialty Organizing services. Then, within those categories we offer almost 20 individualized services (including decluttering, virtual coaching, productivity workshops, moving & relocation, interior design consultation, seniors and assisted living, ADHD organization, etc.) No job is too big or small for our certified team, and no amount of clutter is too large. We take on all levels of clutter, including all levels of hoarding behavior. This makes Sorted Out noticeably distinct from other companies. Incredibly Organized’s services are limited to residential organization, and they offer no business or move management services. We also noticed they didn’t explicitly list garages or attics within their list of residential services. There was no mention of any hoarding behavior experience or service anywhere on their website. They’re also restricted in that they don’t offer services outside of the mentioned “Dallas and surrounding areas”.

We Have Better Pricing

We looked further into Incredibly Organized and noticed that the team of organizers themselves differ drastically from Sorted Out’s professionals. The first notable difference is that they have a far smaller team than Sorted Out. Their company appears to include just five organizers beyond the owner herself. There isn’t necessarily anything bad about a small team, but the experience of their organizers is also something to pay attention to. (Incredibly Organized was only recently established in 2017, while Tonia and Sorted Out have now been in business for over 20 years!) Their organizer biographies make no mention of any industry related degrees or certifications. In fact, their website doesn’t list any association with NAPO (the National Association of Professional Organizers) or adherence to their code of ethics whatsoever. Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean that their organizers don’t have memberships and/or certifications, but it would be reassuring as a client to know you were hiring ICD certified organizers. At Sorted Out, we can proudly say that everyone on our team has their Level I Certificate of Study in ADHD, along with their Level I Certificate of Study in Chronic Disorganization. In addition, we have several organizers with certifications in Time Management, organizers that specialize in Life Transitions, and Hoarding Behavior certified organizers. We take pride in the fact that, unlike Incredibly Organized, we have a large and diverse enough team that we can strategically pair our clients with an organizer that will best suit their individual needs.

We Have A Bigger Team Of Professional Organizers

We looked further into Blissfully Organized and noticed that the team of organizers themselves differ drastically from Sorted Out’s professionals. The first notable difference is that they have a far smaller team than Sorted Out. Their company appears to include just two organizers beyond the owner herself. There isn’t necessarily anything bad about having a smaller team, but the experience of their young organizers also speaks volumes. (Blissfully Organized was established in 2011, while Tonia and Sorted Out have now been in business for over 20 years!) Their website states that they adhere to the National Association of Professional Organizer’s code of ethics, but doesn’t list any individual memberships in NAPO or any industry certifications. Of course, this doesn’t mean that their two organizers don’t have certifications, but it would be reassuring as a client to know you were hiring ICD certified organizers. The Bottom Line

Hiring a professional organizer is about more than switching out the type of closet hanger or offering custom labels. It’s about more than color coding your child’s books on the shelf or having all their games in perfectly curated storage bins. If looking to hire a professional organizer you want to ensure you’re hiring a company that will not simply “cover” the clutter. Seek out a company that will truly listen to your needs and work one-on-one with you to develop new systems to implement in your home. Find a company with certified Productivity experts that can suggest behavior/routine adjustments that will make a daily difference without “necessary” new products to be purchased. Do the research and hire a company that can back up their pretty curated website with industry educated and long trusted professionals.
